Tempura Batter

1/3 c flour
1 t cornstarch
1/2 c seltzer water
Assorted sliced vegetables and peeled raw shrimp

Dredge the vegetables/shrimp with cornstarch before dipping in batter. Deep fry and serve immediately.


This is a great light batter for all manner of things. Serve with soy sauce or a dipping sauce.
