2 large peaches
bottle of dry red wine
Peel the peaches by submerging them in boiling water for 30 seconds before soaking in ice water
for one or two minutes. The skin will practically shed itself. Slice the peaches into a bowl
and pour on enough red wine to cover. Sprinkle on a little sugar if you like. Refrigerate for
several hours. Serve cold in individual cups or glasses.
Makes 4 servings.
So sweet and refreshing! My Grammy would make these in the summer. They are one of my favorite peach desserts - so easy to make! So very good with fresh sweet peaches from Eastern Washington.
